The Prophetic Gift in the Context of an Ecclesia Environment


 You are warmly invited to join Martin and Elaine Fromme at their home in Midway, B.C., for a gathering of the local Ecclesia, and to participate in a weekend of worship, prayer, teaching, sharing, laughing, learning, practice and feasting!


Friday, June 15th, 5:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.

Saturday, June 16th, 10:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.

Elaine and her team will be providing their usual delicious meals: dinner on Friday and lunch and dinner on Saturday.  (There will be no registration fee or cost for the meals, however there will be an opportunity to give a love offering to help cover expenses during the weekend, should you choose.)

So how do we embrace the gift of Prophecy, so that this beautiful gift encourages, strengthens and comforts others?  In many ways the gift of prophecy is one of the most powerful spiritual gifts, however learning how to process and weigh and test prophecy is a required discipline to bear the intended fruit.

This weekend we will be exploring together, some of the many ways God speaks and will be facilitated by Gord and Jan Whyte (Healing Gate Ministries) and guest speaker Rick Groenhyde (Ecclesia Rising)

Thoughts on Turning 65!

On wrinkles: I am getting very comfortable with the ever increasing lines on my face. Like circles on the core of a tree, they not only reveal the number of years I have lived, but the intensity with which I have lived them. Deeply etched smile lines remind me that love and laughter have been a huge part of my life. I would like to think that the deep ridge between my eyes is from years of squinting in the sun, but alas, I admit, I have also been a worrier! I do wonder why so many in Hollywood go to such great extremes to erase such a canvas of memories!

God is on the Move in Ghana!

Ghana had been on my heart since my first visit in 2009, and I was pleased to receive an invitation from Rick and Donna Whitcomb to return to Ghana in January of 2010. I was also looking forward to meeting Prince, a handsome young 11 year old who we have recently introduced into our family. I was excited to bring with me my grandson’s very special soccer ball as well as an Olympic ‘Believe’ t-shirt and cap – some simple gifts for this young man who has had so much to overcome in his short lifetime.

'The Pursuit' in Medicine Hat!

Medicine Hat is a city with a population of 60,000 located in the south-eastern part of the province of Alberta, Canada and situated on the South Saskatchewan River. Its major claim to fame is Rudyard Kipling’s famous line “all hell for a basement” referring to the vast reserves of natural gas beneath it. It’s unusual name “Medicine Hat” is the English translation of ‘Saamis’ the Blackfoot word for the eagle tail feather headdress worn by Medicine Men. This particular ‘Medicine Hat’ finds its origins from Aboriginal legends about a battle long ago between the Blackfoot and the Cree Indian tribes in which a retreating “Medicine Man” lost his Headdress in the South Saskatchewan River.
