ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

Pastor Gord Whyte is a father of two beautiful daughters and beloved papa to ten grandchildren.  He and his wife, Jan, recently celebrated 50 years of marriage in January of 2019.  Gord accepted the Lord when he was 28 years of age.  At 33 he was miraculously healed  following a diagnosis of terminal kidney disease.  His passion to more fully understand the Kingdom of God and see people healed, set free and 'doing the stuff' increased substantially following his own healing, and in 1988, he left his design business to accept a pastoral position in a vibrant church in Kelowna. It was here that he was able to establish 'The Healing Gate, a local ministry dedicated to healing the body, soul and spirit and where he served for the next 21 years.  In 2009, Gord laid down his position at the church in order to respond to increasing invitations to minister internationally, and Healing Gate Ministries International was established.  Gord's main teaching and ministry focus was then and remains the Kingdom of God: Intimacy with God, Gifts and Ministry of Holy Spirit, Healing and Deliverance, Signs and Wonders and Understanding the Heart of the Father.  His passion is to equip and empower the Saints, through ministry of the Holy Spirit.

Mathew 28:16 - 20:  Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go.  When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted.  Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Thoughts on Turning 65!

On wrinkles: I am getting very comfortable with the ever increasing lines on my face. Like circles on the core of a tree, they not only reveal the number of years I have lived, but the intensity with which I have lived them. Deeply etched smile lines remind me that love and laughter have been a huge part of my life. I would like to think that the deep ridge between my eyes is from years of squinting in the sun, but alas, I admit, I have also been a worrier! I do wonder why so many in Hollywood go to such great extremes to erase such a canvas of memories!

God is on the Move in Ghana!

Ghana had been on my heart since my first visit in 2009, and I was pleased to receive an invitation from Rick and Donna Whitcomb to return to Ghana in January of 2010. I was also looking forward to meeting Prince, a handsome young 11 year old who we have recently introduced into our family. I was excited to bring with me my grandson’s very special soccer ball as well as an Olympic ‘Believe’ t-shirt and cap – some simple gifts for this young man who has had so much to overcome in his short lifetime.

'The Pursuit' in Medicine Hat!

Medicine Hat is a city with a population of 60,000 located in the south-eastern part of the province of Alberta, Canada and situated on the South Saskatchewan River. Its major claim to fame is Rudyard Kipling’s famous line “all hell for a basement” referring to the vast reserves of natural gas beneath it. It’s unusual name “Medicine Hat” is the English translation of ‘Saamis’ the Blackfoot word for the eagle tail feather headdress worn by Medicine Men. This particular ‘Medicine Hat’ finds its origins from Aboriginal legends about a battle long ago between the Blackfoot and the Cree Indian tribes in which a retreating “Medicine Man” lost his Headdress in the South Saskatchewan River.
